About Me
I was born and raised in Southern Oregon, with deep historical roots. In the family’s historical
documents there is a journal from past relatives telling the story of their journey to the Rogue Valley in 1852. The journal shares stories of sorrow, joy, hope, fear, and detailed descriptions of scenes as they traveled many miles to settle in the Rogue Valley.
This story taught me that change is inevitable, people pass on, memories fade, but there are ways to preserve these memories.
Reading this journal deeply influenced me with the desire to capture and preserve memories through the form that I find great joy in, painting. Its’ the thick texture & deep layered colors that bring to life our favorite images. There is nothing more satisfying than to have a custom art piece that expresses your soul in a tangible, visual way. Creating a space in your home or office that expresses this can be hard, but I am challenged every day to do this for my customers. Let me help you create a special place in your home or office.
What can I paint for you?
Often as an artist the growth is a steady result of painting time and time again. But I recall a pivotal moment during my early art education years, my instructor felt that the class curriculum wasn't challenging me enough. So, he allowed me to be in a separate room with my own set of paints, brushes, canvases and the freedom to paint anything I desired. I recall relishing the discovery of my creative self and began learning how to let art flow freely without fear of failure. I greatly appreciated my instructor for giving me that freedom as it fueled a fire inside of me for art.
